Empire dealt with multiple houses in my neighborhood after a powerful micro-cell damaged and destroyed trees recently. Rodney and his team did an incredible job cutting and moving all the timber. Recent micro burst did a lot of damage to my neighborhood. It took down a massive oak in our yard. Called Rodney and Empire the next morning and he showed up quickly to assess the damage. Rodney met with several other homeowners and worked a deal that we felt was more than fair. Most companies would have bid each house as if they weren’t doing other work imho. Crew arrived and they put down mats to protect my yard and got to work. After just a few hours they made quick work of two big trees and cleaned up the yard. Highly recommend them.

Rodney and his crew did a great job removing a 75+ year old twin oak tree from our property, which had unfortunately died and needed to be removed safely. Rodney gave me a fair price and despite the work taking twice as long as he originally estimated (the tree was huge) he and his team were able to complete the job in a single day. They also needed to remove the fencing from one side of the yard in order to get their bucket truck into the back yard to perform the work, and he had a fencing specialist come out the day before and return the day after the work in order to remove and then restore the fence. All in all I am very satisfied with the quality of the work and I would definitely hire Rodney and crew again if I ever had the need. A job well done!

We had an emergency tree situation at our house this past Sunday and Rodney was at our house within an hour. A 90ft. poplar uprooted and was inches from a structure on our property. To say this was a stressful situation is an understatement, the tree could have come down at any moment. Rodney assessed the situation, called his guys to bring more equipment and worked until 10pm to stabilize the tree so that it would.not come down overnight. They returned at 7:30am with a crane to remove the tree as it was in a precarious location and it became clear that this would be the safest method. I had a massive dead oak that needed to come down. The tree was in a challenging spot, entwined in huge grape vines with buildings behind it on the neighboring fence line, there were also trees to the left and right. I knew I would need to choose someone that could handle such a dangerous job with perfect precision. I called several tree services for estimates. I had one company come out and look at it and [they] never called back with the estimate. I had one no-show and another company that wanted to charge [an] arm and [a] leg just to top it out. Once he gave me the estimate I knew it was going to be a lot of work, but he did give me a fair estimate for the work. He offered to do the work in phases based on what was a priority for us. Shortly after Rodney gave me the estimate, my husband and I found out that I was expecting. Unfortunately I had to let Rodney know that our priorities shifted and we would call him once the baby came and things settled down. But I never had to call Rodney, because he called me! He called me (1 year later) to see how things were going and if we still needed the trees removed. I told him yes, but we wouldn’t be able to do everything at once. I told him what we felt comfortable with spending and he came a few days later. During this phase he dropped a 90′ oak tree and pruned 2 other big trees. He had all of his safety gear on and worked very efficiently! My husband and I literally watched in amazement as the tree limbs dropped. To our surprise, all of the tree limbs were individually brought down with ropes and not one of them damaged our property. Rodney, thank you for checking in and calling us. He let me help split and stack 3 cords of oak, that’s is a serious 5-log splitter he has. Heavy snow in January severely damaged half of the 40-foot tall Leyland cypress trees on each side of our back yard. Some were laid flat, some broken off halfway up, some leaning onto others. We had no choice but to have all 25 removed. Some were over a foot in diameter at the ground. Rodney and crew had the right equipment and knowledge to do the job quickly and well. The pruning work was expertly done and the cherry tree is more beautiful than ever. Removing the mulberry tree was especially challenging since the tree was inaccessible to any heavy equipment, and Rodney had to avoid damaging the house and plantings that surrounded the tree. I requested Empire Tree [to] do an estimate for storm damage clean-up based on a friend’s recommendation, and was so impressed with the initial meeting that I did not feel the need to request any other estimate.
